Inconvenience Of A Nation

That, at the end of the day, will be the end result of the Summit of the Americas. (I agree with the lone protesting woman on TV last night about the ‘vulgar’ expenditure, but that’s the modus operandi of this PNM [Pelt ‘Nuff Money] governmemt).

Imagine, after trying all out to figure how I am getting to work on Friday, I now see that the PBR is going to be closed off too? Madness, insanity… I firmly believe that this was Patrick’s intent all along. Don’t declare a public holiday so that the business people who have to pay their workers won’t be up in arms, but frustrate the living daylights out of everyone so that we will just stay at home. Mission accomplished.

What a colossal waste of time… After losing two days for the Easter weekend, we now have to lose another business day? How unproductive can we be? I certainly hope that the other 33 ‘losers’, not ‘leaders’ (yeah, Barack in there too) suffer in a similar manner when they return to their respective fiefdoms for allowing the Patrick to put us through this.

As a people we should be like the red-shirts of Thailand who forced the cancellation of a 16-nation Asian Summit, but as Martin Daly keeps reminding us – we have no guts. We know that the our security services are a law unto themselves and people will be beaten, if not killed, so we do nothing.

I have to say, “Go Red-Shirts” whether they are right or wrong in their protests for Thaksin Shinawatra, because as in another quote by Dr. King, “…riot is the language of the unheard“.
